We started working with Westfield Academy Trust in early 2023. Often, one of the first things we do when partnering with a new client is to run a recruitment benchmarking exercise to understand what is working well and where there is room for improvement.
In our experience, starting a relationship with a review of what has happened in the past and what the future looks like is important. That way, we can support them in the areas important for achieving a new client recruitment strategy whilst providing them with the market intelligence they need to make informed decisions.
For Westfield Academy Trust, this meant looking at the following areas:
- Recruitment strategy
- Recruitment metrics
- Candidate experience
- Employer branding
Specialising in the education sector, we know that our improvement recommendations must fit within time and budgetary restraints. We identified the four medium to long-term improvements in the above areas within these limits, plus six quick wins.
Over the coming 12 months, we are working with the school to implement as many improvements as possible. It is important during this time we work in an agile way, as recruitment is an ever-evolving function.
